Another great ride nice guest-shot by Ra's, who I aways love to see. I gotta say that even the mention of anything icky going on made me kinda squirmy XD On the one hand it's good to acknowledge that it looks weird and explicitly give it a denial, but it was still just kinda weird to think about. probably just me. I like the focus getting back to Carrie and her friends, and I like again how interconnected everything is in our Gotham. Victor and Jervis being friends is just exactly what we have fun with on earth-5, and I'm absolutely looking forward to more of that story getting through.

Hi there. This is my first post ever!
I really dug this issue, and your take on Batman & Robin. This is the first issue I have read, and I was able to jump right in. I enjoyed the characterization and the flow of the issue. Also, Ra's is the man. My only qualms were with the dialog. I don't think that Ra's should ever use the word "okay", and sometimes the kids sound a little too adult. All in all, pretty great.

This series is always a lot of fun and a highlight of the release schedule, this issue is no exception.
I loved the introductory scenes with Alfred, the one man who can put both Carrie and Bruce in their place. The "scary" face line in particular was really telling. I love how nonplussed he really was with the whole thing, completely unfazed by Bruce's whole Batman act and free to tell it exactly like it is.
Watching the kids interact with one another, I think, is one of the highlights of this series, they way they talk to one another, it just flows so naturally. And I think most people have been in the position Jason is in, so the audience can really sympathize. Should be great to see how this continues.
It's nice to see other characters showing up here - Black Canary is a nice treat, great to see that not only does she trust and like Bruce, but respects enough Steph's feelings to at least look into the situation. The confrontation between her and Batman should have shockwaves that will continue throughout the rest of this series and others, we're starting to get a sense of their histories now, and how what happened to Barbara informs their actions here, but also in titles like Gotham Girls and Teen Titans/Outsiders which is very cool to me.
Ra's Al Ghul's appearance as well was well handled. The "Sit Ubu" line was much appreciated, nice little joke to break up the tense scene. Ra's Al Ghul, with information on Carrie's parent's murder can only be a bad thing and I fear for what effect this will have on the situation with Bruce if she ever finds out about it.
As always, James you did a knock out job this time, love where this series is headed and can't wait to see where you're going with it next.

Good issue. I liked the way you use Steph and the other kids. My favorite scene with her was when Dinah told her that she went to school with Dick Grayson. That was just sweet LOL
Carrie for me sounds a bit too adult sometimes. On the other hand she just lost her parents. So it's not that big a problem.
Really interested in what Victor and Jervis are doing coming Saturday.
"Sit Ubu, sit." Great funny moment. But I have to agree with torchbearer, that Ra's would never say okay. He'd say "It's alright" or "everything is well" or something like this, but "it's okay"... no, that just felt wrong. But that's a minor thing.
All in all a nice issue worth 4 stars.
