Very nice issue, as always You do a lot with several short scenes, and it makes the whole issue fly by. It actually ends up feeling a little short (although that may just be because mine are novels XD) I think maybe you could have spent more time at the park, but sharing the spotlight worked out well. Looking forward to more of Penguin for Mayor, and certainly some nice mood whiplash teasing us with Freeze. My only cricitcism is that you could have spent more time on less people; I think just having Catwoman and the Park might have been enough, and you could have saved the penguin scene for another issue (although i can't even say that you could have left out Freeze) Always good work, and the cover was great too

Yes, the cover is great.
I really liked your casual dialogue, especially "Roller Coasters and I have a deal...". My chief complaint this month is that it's an issue of Batman & Robin with no Batman or Robin. And Mock might have a point about too many plots in not enough space. It was kind of a short issue to cram an A, B and a C into, even though one of them is more of a Coda than a full-on plot. Overall, though, I enjoyed this issue. And Dick/Babs banter is always fun.

Once again a Class A effort James, always impressed with what you are able to do with this series. Not just anyone could do a series that doesn't feature the titular character (at least in his titular form) and still advance multiple plotlines, but you've accomplished it here.
This issue is filled with the sort of character moments that help to advance your series, especially in light of what happened over the last issue, it's nice to see Carrie and Bruce are getting along and that Carrie might have as much impact on Bruce as Bruce is inevitably on Carrie.
Nice to see Joe and Dan here making another ill-fated appearance in your work, once of many nice little touches at work. Get a kick out of that everytime I see thugs with those names.
Harvey Bullock's description is maybe one of the finest I've ever seen on the site, really that was masterful. Always loved him on the animated series and it's great to see him in your hands as well. Hopefully he gets to do more in the future.
Steph's obsession with Bruce and what he might be doing to Carrie is a very interesting plot thread and one that really sets a great tone for her character, her willingness to confront Bruce over it directly, especially with the line about facing down Batman - just really well handled. She's clearly a good friend and a standout character here.
Catwoman makes a striking appearance here and her interaction with Nightwing is great too, should be a lot of fun to see how Batman reacts to the notion that he's essentially been told to stay out of the East End. That's definitely bound to get some sparks flying.
The awkward interaction between Bruce and Arthur was really well done - it was so natural the way the conversation happened, it was perfectly awkward but that was natural and it manages to share a lot of personal information as well, which is always apprecaited, between this issue and last, we've gained a lot of backstory and seen the plot get advanced at the same time - that's a tricky balance to strike, but you've achived it.
And of course, the issue ends on a really tense note, leaving us with a great cliffhanger for the next issue, can't wait to see what happens.
Great job as always.

A good fun issue. I especially like that Steph is still thinking that Bruce abuses Carrie. (Reminds me a lot of the people/readers who rumored that Bruce and Dick were a couple in the older comics and that Bruce abused him...) I like the fact that you are using a lot of shorter scenes to tell your stories, It makes reading so much easier, but sometimes it lacks the depth to really describe a scene and the surrounding. For example, I have no idea what Six Flaggs looks like. A little more description about the surroundings and including them into the story would be nice. Otherwise a sweet issue with a lot of nice little character moments. 4,5 stars
