This is for everyone, writer, artist and reader.
We all bust our ass around here, that much is clear. The writers are all trying to present the best stories possible and the artists are doing an excellent job depicting them with covers and the occasional splash page.
While I think I can safely say we're all successful in getting the stories and artwork out, despite averaging 15-20 regulars visiting the site daily, and 61 members overall - as a group we're pretty piss poor at letting each other know what we think about that work.
So here we are, March 12th, 2008 by the time people are reading this, two and a half months into a new year.
I'm a data guy who lives and dies by statistics, so let's take a look at the most recent issue of each series posted this year so far and see how they stack up in terms of comments received:
The Badlands #01 (released 12 days ago): two Comments
DC3 Presents: Raven (released 12 days ago): Five Comments
Ultimate All-Stars #03 (released 12 days ago): Five Comments
Ultimate Batman and Robin #03 (released six days ago): Three Comments
Ultimate Fourth World #02 (released 19 days ago): ONE COMMENT
Ultimate Gotham Girls #02 (released 12 days ago): four comments
Ultimate Speed Force #02 (released 19 days ago): ONE COMMENT
Ultimate Maximum Batman #02 (released 72 days ago): Three comments
Mightiest MOrtals #05 (released 25 days ago) : ONE COMMENT
I think everyone can see that's some pretty paltry numbers.
Now, I'm not posting this to get a list of posts about how why people aren't commenting, I know everyone's busy and has other things in their lives outside of this site, but if you want people to read your work here, shouldn't you be offering the same courtesy to your fellow writers and artists?
Three titles on this board got a single comment all of which were released over half a month ago, considering how frequently everyone checks the board, I should think everyone could find a few minutes to comment on them.
