Here's an update on the multiple Earths of the DC3. Keep in mind that the Multiverse portion of our board is the place for all the parallel Earths of the DC2U, or as we refer to it here, that earth will be our Earth-One. All the parallel Earths here are echoes of this Earth-One, where the DC heroes and villains, places and events, form the baseline and spine of what our multiverse revolves around.
Earth-Two
This Earth is posited on the premise that the heroes and villains of the DC2U arrived when they did historically, and aged at a normal rate. Now, in the present day, the sons, daughters, nephews and nieces, sidekicks and wards have taken up the mantle of these elder heroes and prepare to forge new stories in the shadows of the legends.
Earth-Three
This Earth is the the universe where evil is good, good is evil, and all the heroes we depend on in Earth-One are some of the most villainous, dangerous people alive. The Crime Syndicate of Amerika rules this Earth, but that doesn't mean dark schemes from both other villains, and equally desperate heroes, aren't prepared to topple the gods from their home.
Earth-Four
This Earth is the home to the Charlton heroes. This is where the Blue Beetle, Nightshade, Question, Captain Atom and others will battle evil in their own way, with their own alliances and feuds, and if you loved the Charlton 'action heroes', you'll find plenty to love here. Starting with the Golden Age of Charlton, Earth-Four is prepared to cover a lot of exciting history.
Earth-Five
This Earth has some of the closest echoes to Earth-One while also remaining some of the most distant results. The classic heroes of DC Comics are reinvisioned in a modern setting, with modern story-telling techniques, providing what's now well-regarded as an "Ultimate Universe" take on the greats. This is a world with no Superman, a world where heroes and villains alike seem similar, but go in directions that may surprise you. And it lies, dimensionally speaking, very close to...
Earth-S
This Earth is the home to the Fawcett Comics characters, also known popularly as the Marvel Family or Shazam! line. Indeed, the Marvel Family are the primary heroes of this world, but far from the only ones. And with the Rock of Eternity as an axis around which Earth-5 and Earth-S orbit, the Marvel Family have a strong and notable presence on that other Ultimate world as well.
Earth-X
On this Earth, X marks the spot of greatest change. Nothing you know of Earth-One can help you predict how they'll appear here, where the names are the same, but everything else is subject to change. The furthest point from Earth-One and still in the multiverse, Earth-X offers readers and writers a chance to play with the ideas of the DC legends in ways that can surprise.
Maximus!
Less one parallel Earth, Maximus! is an imprint of comics that allows for the telling of Year One tales of the DC legends in self-contained worlds, where each writer can develop his or her background as needed for the tale being told. Each world will stand on its own, each character will have an origin of self-contained excitement, and each writer gets his own playground.
So I hope this helps to explain the layout of the DC2U multiverse, and the parallel worlds they offer. We hope you enjoy and delve into each world and each title, and if there's a world you think needs exploring, pitch away!
Take care
