Uncle Dudley - awesome guy I like him. (But I really hope he doesn't become a Marvel like in the old comics.) Billy finally knows who Sabbac is and Freddy and him are friends again. Well written. Totally understandable. Good work. Susan Kent Barr - what a witch. Looking forward to see how she develops during the next months. Miss Minerva - still a mystery to me Well done 5 stars.

Little bit misleading cover, eh? but i love the old-style feel. Agree with Riz, Dudley's great. Minerva's still a wonderfuly fun mystery, too. And Susan's just so sharp Aaand I'm tired enough to have just tried to spell 'Susan' with a Z, so i'll leave the review there! XD Mock

One of my favorite antagonists to write is Susan, because she's a good lawyer with a serious love of her city and its residents and a legitimate beef against Captain Marvel. That she portrays this all with a hard, ice queen exterior combined with the fact that she's clearly human and prone to making mistakes, hopefully will keep her story compelling for a lot of people She's going to be facing a lot in the coming months, so I'm glad she's making an impact. Dudley...I love Dudley. No Uncle Marvel in his future, no fears there, Riz. Well, maybe for a Halloween party issue, but that's acceptable. I loved his scene, and am sorry I h haven't made more room for him in the first year, an omission shared by the Bromfields and Mary, and I'll have to look to making a bit of a change on that front, I think. glad to see him so well-received. This is the sort of thing I was just explaining in my response to Dragon about issue one...the sheer joy of the Fawcett world and its characters, you can update and put a modern sensibility in the writing, and still leave the fun involved. Dudley's a good example. Anyway, glad it worked and glad you both enjoyed and we'll talk again next issue. take care Don

Good story well written and I loved the way Minerva seems to have a crush on Captain Marvel it seems to add a bit of a romatic twist to it. good job. Perhaps the DC2 Captain Marvel shall find someone that seems to have a crush on him soon too. Who knows time will tell.
Again good work.

Thank you for the nice words. Minerva is one of my favorite "ultimizations" really. She's actually based on Aunt Minerva, a classic Golden Age Big Red Cheese foe who spent her time marrying people and then killing them, but she was this really aged old crone. She set her sights on Captain Marvel on a couple of occasions, and Ibac on another...she's one of those fantastically fun characters of the time period.
I'm taking a radically different twist on her, but the goal is the same: to land herself the World's Mightiest Mortal! How well she succeeds will be revealed in time, so keep reading.
Take care Don
