Definitely a satisfying climactic battle there You kept the tension up all the way through, and kept the humor in there along with it. Leap from plane to plane The entire arc has been a great, very fitting story for this group. The back-ups have also been consistantly great, but it was so fun to see this one come together with an unexpected leader. It's still a fun ride, but it's also very nice to have a lighter mood and somewhat sillier characters after the tension and danger in the issue proper. they compliment each other well

Once again you suck us right in to the action of the primary story, the situation seems even more dire now then when we left the last issue, which is amazing. Hard to believe anyone not getting sucked right into this one.
You can really FEEL the helplessness of Mr. America here at the beginning, it's that palpable, and the suffering he feels watching Hippolyta only makes our sympathy for her plight increased, even as she won't give Blitzkrieg the satisfaction of suffering for it.
And just as great is the satisfaction Mr. America feels as Blitzkreig realizes just who is on his tail. Just one of many "Hell Yeah!" type moments you offer us.
I agree with Sam about the comedy bits, played almost like vaudville, which again is perfect for the time period. What's even more impressive is that you continued to find a use for Jay in the one place that his powers should be limited, again a testament to your abilities as a writer, the whole team is exploited to their fullest, making for a really exciting battle sequence.
Our "big bad" as it were finally makes his appearance here, and the stakes are once again raised. You're able, through Fate, to establish all the backstory we need for this bold new threat, and Green Lantern is a very effective audience stand in, his questions are ours, and we can certainly be concerned about what should happen if they do fail.
The battles between Karkull and Hippolyta and Mr. America vs Blitzkrieg are perfectly coordinated and well balanced, shifting focus between the two in a very effective parallel, two heroes seemingly outmatched yet fighting on. It's clear how these guys form the basis for the entire world's heroes, and they shine in your hands.
Mr. America's ingenuity helps to turn the tide, giving our heroes the edge they needed, and couldn't have been handled in a better way, he's proven to be resourceful so it doesn't come out of nowhere and leads to even bigger things.
I love the ending as well, it's got that great mix of bringing the story to a close, but with the casket and Blitzkreig not completely down for the count, there's always the lingering threat that either or both will spring up again when our heroes least expect it. Doesn't feel like sequel-baiting, but it's great you left the window open.
In the second feature once again we're drawn right into the action as The Mist takes on our three heroes. Johnny Quick continues to be a lot of fun, his attitude and behavior clearly contrasted, not only from fellow speedster Jay Garrick, but also most of the other males in your cast who have a slightly more chaste interactions with the women in their lives.
The Mist adapts pretty quickly to his power set and immediately his thoughts turn to vengeance, and with the potential to harm civilians and seemingly invunerable to attack it really amps up the action, and the tension for our heroes.
It's really great to see Libby assume the position of leader, she's a natural in the role and helps to bring together the whole thing. It's great how the other two just follow what she says - even though they've never thought to use their powers in the ways she's suggesting. She's creative and inventive, two important instincts for a leader in the field.
The ending of this story was just as great, it ends on more of a comedic beat, with some genuine chuckles in there. Liberty Belle is a future star here, hopefully she continues to get exposure.
All in all, as usual, a stellar effort on your part, Don. Keep up the good work.
