We're closing in on the finale to Captain Marvel's first year, and we can't wait to hear what you have to say about it!
Take care Don

Lots of fun, lots of things all coming together for the big finish I really do love the connection between all of the boys, they have such strong ties to each other and it makes it completely understandable for Cap to be selfish. Everything's just rolling along to the finish line now, and it's gonna be a great time reading the next issue

Holy moley! I wasn't quite expecting to see what may very well be the end of Bulletman here... while I would say I'd expect him to survive... it sounds like he's in a lot of trouble.
Nicely paced issue. The setup is all complete and the conclusion should bring the title's first year to a close with a loud bang.
The overall connections between everyone is a strong reason why I enjoy this title.
I'm very interested to see where Freddy goes from here. He's been my favorite character for the most part of the series so far.
Good job, looking forward to the conclusion (and someone saving Bulletman's butt)!!

I understood that Earth S was suppossed to be almost exclusively the domain of the Fawcett characters. I am one of the fans who actually remembers which Earth contained which characters unlike some careless writers or editors of the pre-crisis DC. It was carelessness that let Kid Eternity become Freddy Freemans' cousin. Alright, I could accept that since it is now somewhat traditional in the casnon. But unless I am very much mistaken Capt. Triumph was a Quality character and so should not exist on Earth S unless you've decided to combine them. And if you have decided to combine them you may as well use the half-dozen Charlton characters from the Fourties and Fifties that DC hasn't used yet.

... Sounds like you've got a pitch for a miniseries right there

The story of Captain Triumph's inclusion in Mightiest Mortals comes back from when this series was a part of the original UDCU site, which was just one Earth with "ultimized" DC figures. I had Captain Triumph having retired to Fawcett City in that continuity, for different reasons, and some interesting plans for his history (for All-Stars eventually) and in the present.
When DC3 started up here, I wanted there to be an Earth-S and David was good enough to let me. I moved Mightiest Mortals here, to try and get it a better readership, and because I'm rather proud of what I've done with it. Then a little while later, the UDCU was merged into DC3 wholesale, and became Earth-Five. Which is why Mightiest Mortals is often referenced in the continuity of Earth-Five, despite being on Earth-S (something that will get developed in the future).
So when it came time to figure out what to do about Captain Triumph, I wasn't sure how to go. He is indeed a Quality character, and Earth-S was supposed to be strictly Fawcett. Yes, Kid E was Quality, and inserted into the Marvel Family in the Seventies, but I really liked the notion Freddy and Kit being cousins and heck, they even shared sashes in common, if nothing else. LOL So I kept that element. I hemmed and hawed and went back and forth on Captain Triumph, but in the end, with the addition of Earth-Five on this site, I chose to keep Captain Triumph in the Mightiest Mortals for future plot development purposes. I like him, he serves a great story purpose in this storyline and he will most likely lead into the story of how Earth-Five and Earth-S interrelate.
For the record, Captain Triumph almost mutated into Master Man when I was going back and forth over whether I should use Lance and Michael. But I let it remain with the brothers instead. You'll note that Lori Zechlin isn't a Fawcett character either. It's DC3's Earth-S and will by and large remain the domain of the Fawcett characters, but I will use my writer's license to take a liberality here and there. Hope it doesn't hurt your appreciation of the stories I want to tell.
Will more Quality characters pop up in Earth-S? Very unlikely. I've got my two, and they fit well enough, and the others should more appropriately appear on Earth-Five (or perhaps an Earth-Seven, or Earth-Nazi). As for the Charltons, they have their own Earth-Four, coming soon from John Elbe, and I'm happy to have them there (if you look into the old, old discussion threads on various Earths that could and should exist, I mentioned that I almost did abscond with the Charltons for Earth-S and I'm glad I didn't).
Thanks for your comments, and I hope you enjoy the exciting conclusion to our story.
Take care Don
