I thought the issue was very cool, for a full-issue fight. The splitting-up of the fighting made it much more interesting, both giving us breaks from the all-out action of the Kara scenes to go join Dick, and by making the battle about more than sheer strength. it's really Kara's biggest fight yet, and she's certainly showing us her stuff!

A fun issue. Kara vs. Malgy was fun to read (Particularly the "who's on first?" bit) and the team up between her and Nightwing was good. I also liked the inclusion of Stan and Jack, who will hopefully provide more entertainment than Dan and Joe.
Keep this up. I'll be back next time for more.

Action, action, ACTION!! Excellent issue, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The pacing was full-on for most of this thing. Fantastic fun! Lots of funny scenes ("Not 'what'! That WORD!"). Fun stuff!

Loved it. Again, the Nightwing/ Supergirl interaction was incredible, and their dialogue with the villains? Very amusing. Awesome job.

The issue picks up right where the last one left off with Amalgamax pairing off against our heroes, and I think it's great that from the very beginning you establish exactly how his powers work. By removing the element of good nature and positivity that Johnny Thunder brings to the equation, and the sharp effect of Amalgamax's behavior and demeanor, the reader is given the ultimate solution to his defeat, yet at the same time is shown just how dramatically each of the JSA popers affects the whole, which emphasizes just what a threat he is.
The battle itself, shifting between the high octane slugfest that is Amalgamax/Supergirl and the more low-key and subtle contest between Nightwing and Houngan is very well crafted and suits very well both heroes talents. Supergirl, being the far more bombastic and colorful hero is outright just punching and training to contain an equally determined foe, while Nightwing's battle is more cerebral and strategic, as the pair work to slowly winnow down Amalgamax's power set, and with him out of the way, to then eliminate Houngan as a threat.
The verbal tussle between Supergirl and Amalgamax is great as well, and a lot of fun - as others have noted the whole "Who's on First" riff is well executed and Supergirl shows herself to be pretty clever in her own right, there are certainly more than a few dimensions to this hero. Especially with the "I will never give up" line, she certainly lives up to her status as one of the big icons of Earth 5, even this new into her career.
I liked the little wrap up at the end too, the implication that both have recognized one another definitely sets things up for later on and should certainly be exciting to see pay off down the road.
Another great effort, can't wait for the next one.
