Me, I loved this. Polly and Paula made a wonderful conversation, quite excited to see them together in action again. Poor Johnny though, that's most of what I was thinking. that really smarts, I can't wait to see this jerk get what's coming to him Another solid entry in a wonderful and well-anticipated series

A fun read over all. It smacked of that 40s innocence as the All stars had no problem revealing their idenities to each other. A little of that we're all on the same side so of course I can trust you attitude that you don't find in todays stories. It was obvious the Bourn Idenity (someone had to say it) reveal was coming but somehow I never expected Wotan. The only complaint I have is with the title. For future reference, Don, black on black doesn't show up too great on the screen.

Thanks for your comments, and just wait and see what Wotan's got up his sleeve for part two. The fun's just beginning. And as for the black print, that was a coding error, actually. SHouldn't have gone like that, but it's taken care of now. And now the back-up is in place, so I hope I can entice you back to finish the fun. Take care Don

You're starting off a new arc here and you don't spare the intrigue from the get-go with a mystery meeting and an even more mysterious mission for Wonder Woman.
The discussion between Hipolyta and the Baroness was well captured: the barely restrained contempt covered only by a very thin layer of respect for title and position - it was just Very well written.
You set the stage pretty effectively, if the Nazis and the Allies both think something's a bad idea, the stakes have to be pretty big, and the Baroness sets them up well. The Gundestrup Cauldron just has the right sound as an ominous Macguffin, and the fact that it's a real thing too just adds another cool element to it. Always nice when you can learn something while getting your entertainment.
The Baroness and Hippolyta will certainly make for a fascinating team.
The other thread of this particular issue, though perhaps not as epic in nature seems the notion of the Justice Society and how it's members interact and relate with one another out of costume.
The scene at the gym was done very well, with Wildcat, Starman and the Atom bantering and male bonding in their off hours, talking about the "club" of mystery men. It's great to see how comfortable everyone is with one another, how they don't hide behind their masks and it just shows how they've come together as a community.
A different setting, but the same sort of bonding is shown at Carter's symphony event, surprised and yet comforted by the appearance of Wesley Dodds. Another nice touch of this one was that you're able to remind us of the setting again and fully exploit that - a lesser writer would forget to note the "scandal" of an unmarried Carter and Shiera or play around with the notion. It's equally great to see Shiera being brought more into the fold and I look forward to seeing what you're able to do with her and Dian, should you feel interested in exploring that.
Seeing Johnny Thunder here is always a treat, he's quickly becoming a breakout character and this time we get to see another side, which makes him more than the mere simple comic relief he would be in others hands. He's desperate for the sort of interaction that the others all take for granted, and you are really able to feel for him here, even while he's all smiles at the prospect of meeting a relative - though one can't help but shudder at the prospect of him going to meet this new-found relative only to find out he's our Cauldron-snatching villain.
We don't need to know much about Wotan to know he's going to be trouble - especially powered by the Thunderbolt. The story comes full circle with Wonder Woman and the Baroness coming in for the fight and the promise of a full-on melee with the entire Justice Society? What's not to love?
Then on top of this, we get another great back-up story. Doctor Mid-Nite continues to be one of the real bad-ass characters that you write. Definitely shows off his training, nice to see the Shadow getting another reference, since that's one of the coolest concepts you've introduced in your work here (and Lord knows there's been a lot of them).
Liberty Belle remains excellent here too, and her ongoing detective story is a lot of fun. I'm sure she'll eventually be successful in uniting Doctor Mid Nite and the Tarantula. And of course, on a personal note, I'd also love to see a Liberty Belle mini-series in addition to these co-features. I'm sure it could turn out to be the "Speeding Bullet" of Earth 5.
Very stoked about the next issue, can't wait to see what you've got in store for us next!
