Agreed. Good stuff, touching and emotional, but a bit too brief. And it was pretty obvious they were going to find Jason, but that's forgiveable. All in all, the future looks bright for Firestorm.
Looking forward to the next story. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for reading and commenting, guys. I know that this issue was shorter than the previous ones and that everybody who has read the last DCU Firestorm series knew who the young African American guy was, but... you don't know who will end up being Firestorm in the end, do you? After the big battle against two space entities in the first arc we wanted to do a story on a smaller and more personal scale, So I'm really happy that you still enjoyed it, even though we had no big bad in this story at all. Expect to see a mix like that in the future, both action heavy arcs and personal stories.

Aw, it was too short!!!! Great stuff. Can't wait for more. Oh, completely, but I didn't want to draw it out. I'm writing with Boris as my co-plotter, so we have a very fixed idea of what we want to say-- don't hit me, Boris, I'll get back to work! -- and I'm writing a more intimate superhero story right now, as opposed to universe-crisis every issue. Glad you enjoyed

Keep up the good work! -UDC I'm a big Firestorm fan, have been for a long time (especially the Jason series) and having the opportunity to "dissect" the character for a new audience is sublime. Hopefully we'll have the next issue to you soon, as we want to get onto a more regular schedule, but you never know how life goes-- I hope I don't let you all down.

Exactly After the big battle against two space entities in the first arc we wanted to do a story on a smaller and more personal scale, So I'm really happy that you still enjoyed it, even though we had no big bad in this story at all. Expect to see a mix like that in the future, both action heavy arcs and personal stories. I'm not a massive fan of giant fight scenes, and I think, right now, I prefer smaller scale stories-- not focusing on an event, but how characters react to an event. Not saying I'm not writing any events, as there are quite a few stories coming up on the DC2 that are "event" status. Stories like this don't need a fight scene. I'm not saying there isn't going to be a fight scene, because next issue is gonna have a set-piece intrinsic to the continuation of all these characters stories and it's gonna rock. Also, soon... Batman.
