Damn, Riz, that Zauriel looks better than he ever did in the DCU!
As for the Eclipso and Scalphunter--- not sure how it's possible, but you actually seem to be getting better. Magnificent, sir!

The Eclipso pic is really strong. Great inkwork.
And the Zauriel just looks great!

Thank you guys. Dave, I think that working on some comics has helped me to evolve my style. And I got me some ink brush-pens from Japan I am inkin with now (which I didn't before). Glad you like it

Wow, Riz! My mind is blown by how bad ass this picture is; Captan Marvel Jr. has no business looking that cool.

thanks Dave. Glad you like it. It's Freddy as Marvel in the Robinson JL blue costume. Over at DC2 I posted the same pic with the red Trials of Shazam costume. Please let me know which one you like better

Just saw it--- hated the Trials of Shazam (Winick simply has no clue) so I like this version much better ;D.

Absolutely fantastic picture! I love it. Both versions are cool, but for me, Freddy belongs in blue, and this is a great shot. Definitely great to have you back posting with us. Take care Don

Just saw it--- hated the Trials of Shazam (Winick simply has no clue) so I like this version much better ;D. really? I liked the Trials of shazam series, although I hated the artwork until the new artist came onboard and normally I absolutely don't like Winnik, but I think it was kind of decent. Don, thanks for watching and commenting. Funny thing is on the German messageboard I posted this pic they all said the red one was better. On the US boads everybody prefers the blue one. Glad to be back again.

What? You don't know Captain Marvel Jr. ? Freddy Freeman?
|
|
|
Post by Lissilambe on Jan 8, 2009 8:43:58 GMT -5
Exactly! Captain Marvel, Jr. of the Marvel Family, currently holding the top title in the actual DCU (though who knows how that situation will stay), and just debuting in Mightiest Mortals #11-12 and a regular in the DC2 Shazam! series (where he's had a major spotlight put on him). Feel free to check out Freddy Freeman in either (or better yet, BOTH! ) series, and dig up some great Shazam collections out there to get to know him better. It's worth the time. he made some good appearances in Outsiders in DC prior to Final Crisis (seriously, the Sabbac arc in Outsiders has seem him looking cooler than ever). Take care Don

Definitely better in blue!
I didn't bother with with the Trials of Shazam even though I like Howard Porter's art. This whole Marvel/Shazam/Dark Mary Marvel business is just so off-track for the Marvel family in my opinion.

The girl is the lead character of a six issue mini series I'm starting to work on soon. The other guy is the main character of a ten page story I'm working on with a german writer.

Both are cool pictures. The first one is a sweet design, and I just might need to nab it for one of my RPG campaigns. With your permission of course, pal. Can't wait for the actual books to show up. take care Don

Glad you like it Don. I'll have to ask the writer first, because it's his design.

A cover for a (nonexisting) DC Event. This is for a contest on a german message board Long story short: The sun is destroyed by the Starbreaker and on earth there's chaos. The heroes defeat him but the sun needs to be replaced for the earth to survive. Firestorm, Ray and many other light and fire based heroes take the place of the sun to keep the gravity of the starsystem intact. Ray burns out and almost dies. Heroes like Superman who's powers are based on the absorbtion of light lose their powers. With the help of Adam Strange they teleport another sun into the empty space where our sun used to be. But something goes wrong and the new star will explode. So in the end earth is teleported into another starsystem and becomes the newest planet next to Rann... It's an event with less fights against big bad villains and more thinking and reacting to the chaos caused by natural disasters. Let me know what you think
