It has been said that reality is a point of view. So these will be some of my takes on the different realities of the DC characters. Done up as a tribute to Mike Wieringo and is also dedicated to my friend, Chip, the biggest Impulse fan I know. An alternate version of Impulse...

Very cool, Brand! It really looks like Bart. A fitting tribute to his co-creator.
The electricity on the staff actually looks like it's crackling!

Stephanie Brown in a universe where she didn't die, but went back to her Spoiler identity (now with a slightly different look) after Tim Drake stepped back in as Robin...

Not much of a Spoiler fan myself but they're still very impressive. Although I just want to point out that the Spoiler pic looks like she's flying because she's not holding any grapple line. Now the Bart pic looks incredible. Really cool and as House of Mystery said, it really does look like Bart but in a different outfit. Very well done. Also, the robes give me a Kryptonian feel like he's from the house of Allen or something.

Thanks for the nice words, Batmantwinky. The little squiggle of line there by her hand is supposed to be the grapple line she's just swung from. The idea is that she is feeling the effect of flying for just a moment before grabbing a flagpole or something (and just a wee bit of symbolism there for Stephanie too).

While I'm thinking of it, here's a Supergirl pic that I think technicallly fits here even though some of you have seen it before. This is a Kara that grew up in Kandor City.

I like the new Kara pic. I think there's a strong Adam Strange vibe to it. Also, I think because of the facial expression and the posture, she kinda looks like Harley Quinn too.

And now for something completely different... The Meta Teens! An idea for a teen super-team on the DC2 Earth 2, sort of Teen Titans meets Legion of Super-heroes meets X-men. The concept is that if Earth 2 is an Earth where all the heroes have been around 20-30 years and aging in real-time, a lot of super-powered kids would probably be running around. So there's a school for these metahuman teens that helps them learn to use there powers, but they still manage to get into adventures in their spare time. A little like a DCU version of Hogwarts I guess. I pitched out this idea to a few people and got a lukewarm reception so I don't know if it has legs to be a full-blown mini-series at DC3 or not, but it was a heckuva lot of fun to make up so I made up this promo pic anyway. Here's the characters... Front and center: Kid Crusader Next row, left to right: Zoo Boy, Morpho, Live Wire, and Etrigana Back row: Aquagirl, Earth Angel, Robot Boy, and Elastic Lass You might be able to guess the legacy/backstory/parentage on some of these, while others are not so obvious or a little misleading.

I love the look of the picture, and I love the idea. I could imagine a couple of different places this would fit. i don't know who gave you a lukewarm response, but I'm in charge of this dog and pony show now, so you just let me know if you're interested in this project. Always glad to have more activity on the ole DC3. Take care don

Oh I'm interested. I was so excited about this a few weeks ago when it came together I jotted down two pages of notes when I got home from work. But alas, I have several projects I absolutely have to tie up before I start anything new. Maybe in a few months things will open up. Thanks for the nice words though, Don!
This is just a sampling of the characters too. I have more jotted down and there would be several dozen or more in attendance at the school.

These are all really nice pieces. You have a pretty fun style going, it's cartoony and fun without being...saccharine, i think is the word XD It all looks good. I love the Bart design, i'm another fan of his

Thanks a lot, Mockingbird. Yeah, I've tried to develop a sort of pop art superhero style that's reminiscent of some of the bold yet simple artists of yesteryear. Hard to tell if it really strikes a cord or not but I really enjoy doing it. I think there is a quote somewhere by Alex Toth that says something to the effect of "I spent the first half of my career figuring out what to put into my artwork, and the second half finding what I could leave out."

Argh! $%&*#@!
That is too freakin' cool, Brandon! I would totally love to work on this with you, if my plate wasn't so full already (JSA, CSA, JLL, Gotterdammerung, "Dial H" for Showcase, one or two unreleased secret projects, and various editing jobs), but it's killing me (this was like spotting the creme brulee after gorging myself on Mascarpone tort).
Damn!
This must be bought to life! It is a worthy addition to Earth-Two!

I would be honored and happy to collaborate on this, D. Like I said, I'm full up for a good month or two before I can consider getting something out for this so if you wanted to brainstorm a little on it till then that would be cool with me.

Before you two start working on this project we'll need to have a talk about the team roster One of these characters will already be on a team starting this month on E2 - E2 proudly presents you: The Outsiders.

And if it doesn't fit on Earth-Two, then this concept can find a home on another Earth, I'm not too worried about that. If Brandon finds the time down the road, we'll find the place. Take care Don

Personally, I would love for this to be an Earth-Two title, so we can more fully realize that world--- though it will take some coordination with Riz as not to conflict with the huge plans we have brewing in Justice League Legacies , Titans and elsewhere! I just love the DCU Hogwarts aspect of this concept (I have similar plans developing in Justice Society of America, with the recently introduced JSA Academy in issue #4), and can see so many opportunities here! And, Brandon, a long-gestation time works well for my, as my hands really are pretty full. I just can't resist working on this, damn you ! ;D
